Postgrad Basketball
The Fishburne Military School Postgraduate Basketball program has just completed its second season. Guided by Head Coach Ed Huckaby Jr., the Caissons are regarded as one of the premier postgrad basketball programs in the country.
“With over 25 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate level, I have an understanding and the proper perspective on what it takes to be a Division 1 basketball player,” Huckaby said. “Talent alone is not enough. The intangibles that separate a prospect from a recruit many times includes situations that are not basketball related. The Fishburne experience will not only help a young man reaching his potential as a player, but also as a student and a disciplined young man of character. We demand the same effort from our players that colleges and universities do across the country which helps our players make an easy transition from prep school to college.”
“Total Player Development” stems from 11years of coaching at the collegiate level. Huckaby’s coaching expertise has helped develop 47 all-conference athletes, and 22 student-athletes have worked under Huckaby to reach the professional level (including four NBA players). Coach Huckaby has also been a regular talent evaluator for ESPN U.
